Since the middle of December 2023 Baltic Rail’s Adriatic Train Service has faced challenges due to the attacks on commercial vessels near the Bab al-Mandab Strait which have disrupted shipping operations and forced rerouting by major shipping companies.
However, other services have been introduced and the volume of activity in our terminals has grown by 38% compared to 2023. Additional services are being introduced and together with technological innovation further expansion is anticipated.
Economic activity in the Baltic Adriatic corridor is expected to develop further and Baltic Rail, together with our partners, will be ready for this development.
