Baltic Rail was represented at Trans Middle East in Dubai on 25 January. Stephen Archer (CEO) spoke about the opportunity that existed to cut carbon emissions today by using the already operational intermodal route between Poland and the Middle East via the Adriatic Sea. Not only does the route offer lower carbon emissions but also can provide much faster transit time. For example, Poland factory door to Jeddah via Koper port – 13 days. Speaking about the event Stephen Archer said ‘So delighted to introduce fast access from Poland to the shipping community in the Middle East. Traffic has already started but it is clear that the potential for future growth is substantial.’
